PTOSE

After their only full LP, "Ignobles Limaces", Ptose released "The Swoop" (1984) and "Face de Crabe" (1986) EPs. The first continues the "Ignobles" sound, fast-paced tunes with warped melodies and intense drumachines (and an Electro megamix of "Boule"). The latter EP is slower and quieter, thought it retains the warped melodies and textures (and includes a cover of Residents' "Smelly Tongues"). Ptose (aka. Ptose Productions) resembles the zany sounds of Der Plan. They use mostly synthesizers to create Zolo tunes along the lines of Renaldo & the Loaf. They released "Ignobles Limaces" in 1984 and have released other records as well.
